In the interest of keeping ice fresh, an ice bucket is a |
| rather polite yet useless item cluttering the bar. Until it is called for, ice should always be stored in the freezer not a bucket. The only valid use for such a vessel is to keep a bottle of vodka or champagne cold throughout a meal, or to bring a white or red wine down to temperature quickly. |
